Rate: Depends upon experience.

About this Role
Expressions of interest for Disability Support Workers / Mentors to join our growing team. You will support people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social well-being. In addition, you will aid our Participants in achieving their personal goals and living satisfying lives in our community. Being a Participant-centric role, you will work with many Participants. Accommodation and Community shifts are Available.
About You
We invite anyone who can meet ✓✓✓ the below criteria to enquire:
❏ 1. Experience is essential or Qualifications appropriate to this field
-This includes uni students presently studying allied health degrees and medical fields.
-We consider recognition of prior learning (RPL) as experience in many settings where in-house training and ongoing learning and development is another career pathway. (2 years’ experience)
❏ 2. Screening to work in the NDIS Sector and associated checks is a must too.
❏ 3. We seek good people to join our team with genuine joy in this field. You must have a genuine passion for working with children, young people and adults to progress, achieve goals, live and receive services in the way they want and respect life choices as well as encourage fun, enjoying life, trying new things and encouraging self-determination.
❏ 4. Be prepared to learn if you have not provided mentoring before.
❏ 5. Must have sound verbal and written communication skills.
