How Therapy Animals Reduce Stress

Using animals to help people cope with and recover from certain physical and mental health disorders is known as animal therapy, also referred to as pet therapy.

Animals used in therapy sessions support many aspects of goal achievement, from attachment integration, reducing anxiety, supporting dissociative disorder sessions, teaching compassion for others, connecting after abuse and trauma, ADHD, ASD, trauma, and positive behaviour intervention. To name a few aspects.

Animal-assisted therapy supports goal achievement across all allied health and psychology supports and treatments.
